SOAR is a Veteran-Owned provider of licensed armed and unarmed security services in Western North Carolina. We didn’t set out to disrupt an industry. We set out to fix what we kept watching fail the communities we care about. For years, we saw the same pattern play out across many regions: inconsistent staffing, minimal training, poor communication, and long gaps of silence between incidents. Security became a checkbox, something to satisfy a requirement, not a function designed to protect people, property, and reputation. That frustration became personal in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
SOAR was born from a long and unwavering commitment to community safety. Our mission is simple: provide practical deterrence, actionable intelligence, and emergency aid to the people and organizations that keep this region moving. We understand security from multiple perspectives, with backgrounds in Military, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, Corporate Security, Consulting, and Commercial Piloting. We’ve been optimizing security postures for over twenty years in compliance, risk mitigation, and high-consequence environments. We are not reinventing the wheel. We are repaving the road.
Licensed by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board, SOAR delivers security that produces real return across multiple departments and operations, not just optics. Most importantly, we are community driven, bridging the gaps between connection, protection, and discretion.
